Arrival, set up and soundcheck

We will arrive in plenty of time to setup before your evening proceedings. We liaise closely with you to make sure that everything runs as smoothly as is possible. We use modern professional equipment meaning that setup is quick, with minimal fuss, and we don’t need to make excessive noise and need hours of sound checks.

After set up

After we have set up, we will be playing background music through the PA system – making sure there is a seamless gap between the afternoon and time to party!

1st dance

Before the first live set begins we'll eithr perform your first dance song live or play the mp3 file over our PA.

1st live set

We will then kick off the party with our first set of live music which has been specifically crafted for you using your recommendations and our extensive experience! Get on Up will usually play for 2x60 minute sets (but can play for more if requested). We will time the sets depending on each different event to ensure that we can make the most out of the evening!

2nd live set & end of the night

Get on Up usually will be finished by midnight (depending on the venue) but have the option to either do a DJ set until later or finish later than usual with our live sets. Once the second and final set is complete we'll take a bow and put our instruments down. If we have finished before midnight, or whatever the agreed time is, we'll put the tablet playlist back on until the very end. It is likely we'll come straight off stage to talk to guests and leave packing away for 20 minutes or so. Packing away our gear takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour.
